I write scholarly and popular (meaning non-scholarly) works. My specialties in the academic realm are audience awareness, situated knowledge, first-year composition pedagogy, writing center research, and humor writing. For popular writing, I love to write listicles (because lists are awesome and I even have a post explaining why: Click Here to Read the Post), but mainly what I love to write for nonfiction are pieces that help people to learn about something because I often get to learn too during that process. For bigger creative writing projects, I write young adult fiction (I have an agent who is shopping around my novel, so keep your fingers crossed!), movies, TV shows, and blog posts.
