“Heaven, Hell, and a Passing Grade” — Winner Winner Chicken Dinner, Hehe!

I won 1st place in the 1st/2nd Quarter 2014 “America’s Funniest Humor!”(TM) Writing Contest held by HumorPress.com, one of the Internet’s highest-ranking humor contest sites. This means that not only do I get to add something to the ol’ resume, CV, and list of accomplishments, but I also received $100 in prize money, plus publication in HumorPress.com’s online humor showcase. How cool is that? My winning entry, “Heaven, Hell, and a Passing Grade” is about me trying to find out if I’m going to Heaven or Hell in the afterlife. What could be funnier than being caught in between eternal salvation or damnation?

“Heaven, Hell, and a Passing Grade” will be featured in the main showcase until new results are posted after completion of the current contest, which is accepting entries through December 31, 2014.

HumorPress.com’s bi-monthly writing contests provide great opportunities for writers who specialize in humor, and for those with real-life humorous anecdotes to share.

What a way to wake up a hibernating blog! Please visit my entry (here) and let me know what you think (it’s super short—748 words to be exact).  Thanks!

Make 'em laugh. This is one of my favorite rings, and, as you can tell, it's a little beat up. It's from Helzberg Diamonds (http://www.helzberg.com/product/stack+laugh+ring+1817060.do?sortby=bestSellers&page=2), and no, they didn't pay me to post this here. Although, it would be great if they did. :) Photo by: Elizabeth Preston
