Yesterday was July 4th, which is Independence Day for the United States. In honor of that day and of my country, I present to you pictures with the theme of the colors America’s flag–red, white, and blue. Enjoy and happy late Independence Day!

That closeup of the flower is awesome. And that really is interesting about the cherries! (Btw, did I tell you the boys went fly fishing two weekends ago?)

I just like this picture. Perhaps there’s an implication of a new perspective in it.

This man plants these flowers every spring. I don’t know why, but they make me happy. It just goes to show you that you never know how you may touch another person’s life.

It’s a little, secret oasis.

How adorable is this?

I look at this little fluff ball of a dog and I can’t help but smile. I mean look at that pompadour!

Usually, quail are in a perpetual state of panic. You would be too if everyone and everything wanted to eat you. Therefore, seeing a calm quail reminds me that there will be a chance to take a breath and relax.
